PRE-WAR WILLIAMSBURG CO-OP

A Pre-War Williamsburg Apartment Reinvented

As long time residents of Williamsburg, the owners wanted a space where their extended family who reside in the same building could all gather.

The layout of the space was altered to let natural light travel through a larger open living area. A larger kitchen was then designed open to the living room with entertaining in mind.
We wanted to celebrate the history of the building and still create a modern, bright space for a young family.
The original brick walls and lintels were exposed. The original beams were dressed with reclaimed wood from The Hudson Company.
The warmth of the brick and the texture of the wood cladding provide a striking contrast to the white and black kitchen cabinetry.

The main bedroom contains lamps from Marset, a bed set from Bo Concept, Rug by HAY and original art created by OAD Interiors for the project.
Living room art by Livia Mourao. Entry vase by Dhaene Studio.
