PARK SLOPE HOME
With the owners having a love for modern art and color there was much excitement to transform this Park Slope home into one the family could love. A project scope that began with zero construction, quickly turned into a full scale renovation.
In this apartment's open plan, the dining wall being in the center, lended itself to becoming a focal point. We chose to customize the vibrant Calico wallpaper “Aurora“ to make this gathering space sing and had it cut to a curve to feel like a rainbow wrapping the sun. The translucent “Aura Suspension Light” by Sabine Marcelis gives a soft glow that lets the wallpaper's subtle transitions shine.
The living room was kept monogrammatic to let the dining wall take center stage and was designed to appear as if it continued off of the deep green base of the wallpaper. The modern/retro living sofa from “Wilkes Modular Sofa Group Sofa” could be seen as a bench from which you could watch the sunset.
